Well, likely because it would just be boring or too complex for a kid. In the end movies are about entertaining people. Well, rather, it's about making money, but for that you need the movie not to be a dense historical and moral lecture.

things don’t need to be dumbed down for kids, adults can still enjoy kids movies. kids are more perceptive than you think
